🏁 The Day-Before Race Prep Checklist

👕 Race Kit

Lay everything out and check it twice.

  •  Top (with bib pinned, if needed)

  •  Shorts/tights

  •  Sports bra / underwear

  •  Socks

  •  Running shoes (clean + ready)

  •  GPS watch (charged)

  •  Headphones (charged + paired)

  •  Hat / sunglasses / sunscreen

  •  Extra warm layer (if needed)


⚡ Fuel & Hydration

Fuel your body like it’s go time (because it is).

  •  Breakfast ingredients ready (familiar + carb-based)

  •  Energy gels / chews / bars packed

  •  Electrolyte drink or tabs

  •  Pre-race dinner planned (nothing new!)

  •  Water bottle filled


📋 Logistics & Admin

Keep it boring here — boring = no race day surprises.

  •  Bib collected / know where to pick it up

  •  Timing chip ready + attached

  •  Know your start time + location

  •  Route reviewed

  •  Transport sorted (how you’re getting there + how long it takes)

  •  Post-race bag packed (warm clothes, snacks, charger, etc.)


🧘 Mindset & Mental Prep

Stay cool, calm, and confident.

  •  Alarms set (set more than one!)

  •  Music playlist downloaded

  •  Visualise the race or journal if helpful

  •  Do something to relax (Shake out run, walk, stretch, Netflix)

  •  Remind yourself: You’ve trained for this 🙌

Last glance before lights out...

  •  Shoes? ✔️

  •  Gels? ✔️

  •  Bib? ✔️

  •  Headphones? ✔️

  •  Nerves under control? ✔️ (…ish)
